Modelling Lives Initiative (MLI) is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting children’s wellness and youth empowerment.

Vision

A world where children can live freely without the fear of being sexually violated, and children can will have access to the basic needs of life (food and clothes).

Mission

To teach children about their sexuality, help them build self-confidence, enlighten them on how to respond to the impending danger of sexual molestation, and the next steps to take.
To provide food and clothing to the less-privileged children in unreached societies.

The “Why”

Child sexual abuse, neglect, and lack of basic resources remain pressing challenges. Families in unreached communities struggle with malnutrition, poverty, and unsafe environments. Through education and care, we aim to stop abuse before it happens and provide children with the tools and support to thrive, reflecting the core focus outlined in our 2021 report.

As outlined in the foundation’s program framework, our work focuses on child protection, basic welfare support, and holistic youth development.

Child safety, awareness, and early protection.
In line with the foundation’s documented mission to protect children from abuse and exploitation, this programme delivers age-appropriate sexual education for children aged 2–10 years.

Providing basic needs with dignity
As clearly stated in the foundation’s welfare objectives, this programme addresses food insecurity and lack of proper clothing among underprivileged children.

Changing Lives, One Child at a Time

At Modelling Lives Initiative, every programme we run from sex education tours to feeding and clothing children is designed to create measurable, life-changing impact.
We successfully:

  • Reached over 1,000 children through sex education programmes
  • Conducted school and community outreaches across Lagos and Ogun States
  • Supported children in three slum communities
  • Collaborated with NGOs such as Do Good Charity, Slum2School, Giving Tuesday, Damsy Foundation, and The Truth House Foundation
  • Received the FD@50 Top 50 Rising Impact Transformers Award
